Terms of Service
Last updated: October 1, 2026
1. The service
Vera is software for businesses that work by appointment: an online booking page, a calendar, appointment confirmations and reminders by phone, WhatsApp and SMS, and an AI assistant that answers calls and talks with clients on the business's behalf. What each plan includes is described on our pricing section and on the Billing page in the app.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract for your business.
- You are responsible for your account, for the people you invite to it, and for keeping passwords secret.
- The information you give us (business name, contact details) must be accurate.
3. Free trial, subscription and payment
- Paid plans start with a 7-day free trial. You add a payment method when you start; you are charged only when the trial ends, unless you cancel before then.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until cancelled. You can cancel any time from the Billing page; the plan stays active until the end of the period already paid for.
- Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle's buyer terms apply to your purchase.
- Prices are shown in US dollars and may include taxes as calculated by Paddle. We will give at least 30 days' notice of a price change, which applies from your next renewal.
- Refunds are described in our Refund Policy.
4. Usage included in a plan
Each plan includes a monthly number of phone calls and messages (shown on the Billing page). When the monthly amount is used up, new outgoing calls and messages pause until the next month or until you upgrade; conversations already under way and incoming calls continue for a limited extra amount.
5. Your responsibilities toward your clients
- You decide which clients Vera contacts and why, and you are responsible for having a lawful basis and any consent required to contact them by phone, WhatsApp or SMS, under the laws that apply to you (for example Israel's Communications Law and Privacy Protection Law, or the U.S. TCPA).
- Vera introduces itself as a digital assistant. You must not use the service to mislead people, to send advertising without consent, or for anything unlawful.
- Vera is not a medical, legal or emergency service and must not be relied on for emergencies.
6. Your data
Your business's data and your clients' data remain yours. We process clients' data on your behalf and according to your instructions, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export or ask us to delete your data. When an account is closed, its data is deleted within 90 days, except where the law requires us to keep it.
7. Availability
We work to keep Vera available and accurate, but the service relies on third parties (telephone and messaging networks, AI providers) and is provided “as is”. The AI may sometimes misunderstand; important outcomes are shown to your staff with the full transcript.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Ending the service
You may stop using Vera at any time. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms or that is used unlawfully, after notice where reasonable.
10. Changes and law
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced by email or in the app at least 30 days in advance. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa have jurisdiction, unless the law of your country requires otherwise.
